Section 2 - Centuri to Rocher de Pruberzulu, 29.9 km, 2460 m +

From the bustling little fishing port of Centuri, time honoured paths lead up to the characteristic medieval village of Cannelle, before cresting the backbone of the Cap Corse.  This affords view of both sides of the island, following dirt roads and dusty tracks along a broad ridge until a more forested area is reached near the Col de Santa Lucia. Don't miss the diversion to the Tour de Seneque, a Genoese fort atop a prominent cliff, as this is worth the extra effort.

Pleasant forestry tracks lead to the first major hill. Instead of following the main track to the bergerie, an off-piste route can be taken straight up the ridge to Monte Alticcione and onwards to the Bocca di a Serra.  The main trail is joined here with some scrambling en route to the Cime di e Follicie.

The trail takes you directly to the Rocher de Proberzulu, a prominent square faced block. Its Southern side overhangs to form a fantastic bivouac site with view over the sea far below.
